Plumbing Maintenance: Hot Water Tank

We suggest having your water heater flushed out at least once every year. During this process your tank will be emptied out through a hose, and then refilled with clean water. Over time sediment builds up in the tank and reduces the effeciency of your water heater. Preserve your unit with a yearly with a professional maintenance check.

HVAC Maintenance: Dirty filters

A dirty filter is a preventable problem with an easy fix. Some homes require monthly filter changes especially if you have pets or allergies. A dirty filter affects the performance of your HVAC system and if very common. If your system is not running effectively, check to see if the filter could be changed. A helpful tip for purchasing filters is that the higher the number, the better it will filter the air.

If you’re system’s performance does not improve after a filter change, then be sure to call an HVAC specialist. These systems can be expensive to replace so proper monthly and yearly maintenance are great ways to preserve the life of your equipment.
